About this workshop
At all the Ceroc weekend events, the main alternative to the mainstream music room, is the Chilled Out Zone.  A mixture of blues, R&B and funk, this music is also played at events like Fresh, Red Hot & Blue and Utopia.

This is an opportunity to improve your skills at dancing to this sort of music, with the main emphasis of the workshop on blues (which transfers nicely to the other styles).  The workshop will be focussing on the smooth style, attitude and musicality needed to really show off your dancing skills when dancing to slightly more challenging music.  With maybe a challenging move or two thrown in for good measure.

The teacher, Steve Lampert, is well known for his Chilled Out Zone skills.  He has been teaching blues for 8 years, and at the Ceroc Blues annual competition, he has entered twice, placing 1st in 2008 and 2nd in 2007.  He has also placed over 20 times in other competitions, ranging from Open (Masters in Australia) level freestyle, showcase, DWAS and WCS.

How to get there
Nottingham Community Centre is situated on the east side of Nottingham about a mile from Nottingham Racecourse. 

In Nottingham follow sign posts to Nottingham Racecourse and continue past it on Daleside Road East (A612).  At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Vale Road.  The Colwick Community Centre is on your right after 100 yards.  Turn right into the car park.
